Technical consultation on the food sector – 2025
The technical consultation on the ‘environmental cost’ methodology began on 29 April 2025, following a webinar organised by the MTE with the support of ADEME. This process marks the start of a period of dialogue with all stakeholders regarding the methodology for calculating environmental costs.
The first phase of the consultation, which concluded in October 2025, was devoted exclusively to the technical and methodological aspects of this calculation.
A webinar presenting the methodological adjustments resulting from the 2025 consultation was held on 13 May 2026.

Call for contributions: Processed ingredients – January 2026
Technical work is progressing on the development of Ecobalyse and the standardisation of the ‘environmental cost’ method for food products. To speed up coverage of all products, we would like to call on the community to help us rapidly increase the number of processed ingredients in Ecobalyse.
The data collected in this way will be submitted to the REVALIM GIS for critical review.
